Catalyst Q & A:
Q:// |
Is the senior minister (John) stepping down? |
A:// |
No. While the role of preaching is being modified, the leadership structure at ACC has not changed. The Catalyst Ministry functions under the guidance and direction of our elders and senior minister. This allows John to focus on the many other areas of ministry that often go unnoticed, but are vital to any church. |
Q:// |
Are the members qualified for this position? |
A:// |
Yes. Every speaking member of the team holds a college-level degree in ministry. Each member also has years of experience working in ministry - whether at ACC, Youth Dynamics, or elsewhere. Each member has also shown years of dedication and passion for Anacortes Christian Church. |
A:// |
The leadership of the church has recognized this as a unique opportunity to utilize strengths and resources represented from within the church, in order to most effectively minister to the congregation and community. |
Q:// |
What about continuity? |
A:// |
Continuity is a major priority for the Catalyst ministry. We celebrate variety in style, but unity in vision and direction. The team meets at least once a week to strategize and brainstorm sermons, topics, vision, direction, etc. Members of the Catalyst ministry also meet periodically with elders in order to ensure that we are on the same page. |
